De Valence Pavilion
The De Valence Pavilion was built in the 1970s replacing a 1922 theatre and dance hall. Since 1903 the site had been the De Valence Gardens. The theatre is a multi-purpose hall, built as an annex to council offices. The front facade is plain in a modern style equally suitable for commercial premises. The hall is large and flat-floored, with removable seating for functions use. The stage is simple with no fly tower or grid, and working room in the wings is complicated by staircases and changes of floor level. To the rear of the hall is a raised flat area used as bar and restaurant. The Pavilion closed in 2010 and was put up for sale. It is still used for occasional private hires and charity events, and since 2014 has been used by the local youth theatre, Drama Scene. The De Valence Trust, Tenby Town Council and Drama Scene are gradually bringing the venue back in to use for the community.
