Colour photograph showing the precast stone façade of a Gala bingo hall, formerly the Astoria, in Brighton. Taken from the gardens the other side of Gloucester Road, it shows a three-storey, flat-roofed block housing the auditorium, with a three-bay entrance block to the right. Shops occupy the ground floor of the main block (‘Energy Store’, ‘CSM Motorcycle Training’ and a newsagent), with ten identical window features at first and second floor level. The entrance block has three tall arched windows in the centre with casements and fluted panels, and a blue canopy covering the entrance below. The name ASTORIA remains at the top of the façade in blue tablature.
