Above the Stag
The UK's only full-time professional LGBT theatre, ATS lost its home in March 2012 when the Stag Pub in which it was based was demolished as part of the London Underground expansion at Victoria. The company moved to this refurbished railway bridge arch in Vauxhall and opened an 80 seat fringe theatre with a bar in 2013. There are now plans to vacate these premises and move to two interconnecting railway arches in Vauxhall which will house a 120 capacity theatre, a 50 seat studio theatre, rehearsal space, gallery and cafe/bar.
