Colour photograph showing a rear elevation of the Plaza Theatre in Consett. Taken from across the road, it shows a splayed rear corner with the rear wall to the left and the longer sidewall to the right. Built in red machine-made brick it has a hipped roof and entablature along all visible elevations (a continuation from the out-of-shot façade). The splayed corner contains a large advertisement billboard in the centre, behind which are signs of a large arched opening, with a shallow stepped gable above bearing the name ‘Walkers’ in red tablature. The sidewall has four semicircular windows at first floor level, while the rear contains two small pedimented windows flanking a tall recessed window. This tall window, along with the entire ground floor on all sides, has been boarded-up.
