Colour photograph showing the stage and proscenium at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe. Taken from the dress circle, it shows a bare stage with some backstage machinery visible to the left and against the rear wall, all framed by an elliptical proscenium. A superimposed box at dress circle and upper circle level are in shot either side of the proscenium, topped by onion-domed canopies and flanked by little Jacobean-style obelisk finials. The box fronts are decorated in high relief moulded plasterwork in the form of cartouches with reclining maidens and musical instruments. The proscenium arch has plasterwork of similar quality.
