Side Elevation of the Pavilion Theatre, Cromer, 1998

1389
001389.jpg

Colour photograph showing a side elevation of the Pavilion Theatre on Cromer Pier in Norfolk. Taken from the walkway, it shows the southwest corner of the building with the side elevation off to the left. It is an iron framework with curved lines across the roof affirming the fin-de-siecle origins of the design. A canopy, formed from the continuation of the roof, stretches down over a set back seating area on the corner, and becomes the roof to a rendered sidewall to the left. The name of the theatre appears on a sign attached to both visible sides of a large clerestory in the centre of the roof.
