Colour photograph showing the proscenium and house tabs of the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh. Taken from the dress circle, it shows some red house tabs within a rectangular proscenium decorated with filigree plasterwork and topped with an elliptical tympanum with a painted panel of the muses. Stage boxes separated by small composite columns can be seen either side at dress circle level with slips to both the upper circle and gods also visible. The balcony fronts are ornamented with complex delicate plasterwork scrolls and panels in powder blue and gold.
