Colour photograph showing the façade and part of a sidewall of Hudson’s Restaurant, formerly the People’s Opera House, in Ashton-Under-Lyne. It is a three-storey brick building in classical style with stone dressings and deep-bracketed stone crowning cornice. The name ODDFELLOWS HALL, the original name of the building, remains above a niche over the main entrance, flanked by two plaques reading ERECTED and the year 1855 in Roman numerals respectively. Some Latin words, AMICITIA - AMOR - VERITAS, (Friendship - Love - Truth) are also visible above the niche. The restaurant has been boarded up.
