Colour photograph showing the façade and sidewall of the Civic Theatre in Bedford. It is a four-bay façade in Ancaster stone with pediments and big mullioned and transomed windows. An added lobby between advanced flanking bays houses a double-door entrance and supports a sign bearing the name of the theatre. The sidewall dominates the left hand side of the photograph where the structural theme continues, ending with a corner tower with arched entrances and a crowning cupola.
