Colour photograph showing the façade and a sidewall of Birmingham Hippodrome. Situated on a corner, with the sidewall dominating the left hand side of the photograph and the façade to the right, it is a flat three-storey building with the name HIPPODROME below a central gable at the top of the façade and canopies both over the main entrance and along the sidewall. A four-sided corner feature with gables crowns the nearest corner. The name is repeated on the side of the canopy over the main entrance with THE MIDLANDS PREMIER THEATRE across its face, and a billboard advertising an opera sitting above. STAGE DOOR BARS & BUTTERY appears across the canopy over the side entrance. The fly tower is visible in the top left hand corner.
