Colour photograph showing the façade and sidewall of the Wallaw Cinema, also a theatre, in Blyth. Taken from across the road on Union Street, it shows the façade dominating the left hand side with the sidewall to the right. The building has been built in the Moderne style, in brick with cement or artificial stone dressings. The foyer extends forward from the auditorium block with windows in a typical metal-framed 1930s style. The stage door is on the near corner on Union Street, and a canopy covers the main entrance with the single word ‘Cinema’ on its side. Some old ripped posters are stuck on the corner and left side of the façade.
