Black and white postcard showing a view of the façade of Chiswick Empire Theatre across Turnham Green in Chiswick, London. Trees mask some parts of the theatre. It is a large and symmetrical building with a large open archway on the first floor forming the centrepiece of the façade. The name EMPIRE appears in tablature towards the top of the building, above which some figures guard a spired cupola, also bearing the name EMPIRE, that crowns the building. CHISWICK EMPIRE appears over the main entrance above another sign that advertises the current show featuring the 'Harmonica Rascals'. Several different entrances and more advertising signage are visible at street level. Two identical signs appearing above two of the entrances read TWICE NIGHTLY and give times for the shows (6:30pm and 8:40pm). On the far right of the building there appears to be a colonnade with a sign on the front reading ADVANCE BOOKING.
