Colour photograph showing the façade of the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds. Taken from across the road, it shows a small-scale classical façade with a projected porch containing the entrance and bearing the name THEATRE ROYAL. There are alternative entrances on the main block either side of the porch. Set back even further is a brick structure in three bays with the central bay advanced and bearing a wide gable and two chimneys. On the front a rusticated arch can be seen above a window, just in shot above the pitched roof of the main block.
