Colour photograph showing the Great Western Lane side elevation and the Wood Street façade of the former Prince of Wales theatre in Cardiff. Taken from across Wood Street, the rubble-stone sidewall dominates the photograph, with a Gothic façade below a hipped roof to the left. The side elevation has a curious feature of a flat, church-like outline, picked out in ashlar, with a rose window towards the top. Various entrances can be seen at its base, possibly including the former get-in and stage door, and two chimneys and two attic projections are visible on the roof. The Wood Street façade has three storeys in ashlar stone with traceried windows and canopied niches. Two large arches at first floor level form the centrepiece of the façade, with ornate decoration including a small circular window in between. The ground floor contains the entrance to a ‘Megazone’.
