Colour photograph showing the façade of the Theatre Royal in Chatham. It has an Italianate loggia in two pairs of semi-circular arched bays forming the centrepiece of the two-storey façade, with entablature above and below. A central blind attic rises above the parapet and is crowned by a broken pediment, with small towers capped with onion domes flanking. The ground floor is glazed with a recessed entrance and a red sign bearing the name of the theatre above. Another red sign bearing the name hangs from in between the arched bays.
