Colour photograph showing the proscenium of Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham. Taken from the stalls, it shows the proscenium, house tabs (up) and ceiling. It is a semi-circular arched proscenium with a central cartouche in gold, flanked by paintings of female figures in the corner panels. The saucer-domed ceiling is only partly visible, with out-of-shot painted panels encircled by a flat border with small oval paintings. The stage boxes are also out of shot but the beginnings of Rococo canopies over the boxes carried on slender turned colonettes can be seen on the far right and left of the photograph.
