Colour-tinted postcard showing the entrance hall at the Grand Theatre in Croydon. Taken from inside the foyer, the image shows two short marble staircases presumably leading up to the circles and boxes. A further staircase, situated in between the other two, leads down, perhaps to the stalls or another part of the auditorium. Small female figures stand on the banisters at the bottom of each staircase and paintings, also of females, decorate the walls. A draped doorway is open at the top of the staircase on the left, and a small balcony overlooks the staircase in the top left hand corner of the postcard.
