000070.jpg

Photograph of a sepia-tinted postcard showing the façade of the Grand Theatre, or Grand Opera House, within a streetscape of Croydon High Street in London. The façade consists of three major bays, the centre one taller and pedimented with a bow window at the first floor over a glazed entrance canopy. A domed tower with winged angels on the parapet is set back above the centre bay. Posters are visible at street-level and the first floor advertising a production called 'Don'. This title also appears on the exposed side of the canopy, along with the name 'Hutchisons Co.'
