Black and white photograph showing the proscenium of Claybury Hospital Entertainment or Recreation Hall. The photograph is taken from the centre of the seating area and from directly opposite the stage. The proscenium is in Jacobean style. The simple moulding which defines the arch is surrounded by a heavy architrave which rises to a central bust within an ornate semicircular niche; the stage is flanked by exits, and the wood panelling used for these continues around the space. The ceiling is also panelled, and simple modern chandeliers are hung from it.
