Black and white magazine lithograph showing the façade of the Carlton Theatre, plus caption text. The lithograph is taken from opposite the main entrance. The façade is in Italian Renaissance style. The entrance, which is flanked by exits, is covered by a stayed flat canopy; above, the Portland stone frontage features three semicircular windows flanked by windows with swan-neck pediments at second-storey level, an ornate balcony at third-storey level, and a full modillion cornice and parapet at the top of the building. Caption text identifies the architect as Frank T Verity.
