The largest image, in the top left hand corner of the postcard, is an overall view of the auditorium looking towards the stage from the middle of one of the circles. The proscenium arch, house tabs, some scenery, boxes, the stalls, part of the ceiling and part of the gods are all visible. There is also a large body of water in a central arena in front of the stage. (Originally built as a Hippodrome for circuses, a vast water tank was used for water spectacles.) Two slightly smaller images in the bottom left hand corner show the Royal Box, with its burgundy drapes, and the Vestibule. The right hand side of the postcard shows the ‘Cabin Saloon’ bar above a view of the exterior, looking directly at the façade with its domed tower, two sidewalls and canopy all visible.
