Hollywood Cinema
Built on or near the site of the Bridge Hall Pavilion; originally as a theatre, gutted by fire in 1946, it was rebuilt and enlarged, with a fly tower added. It was then used as a repertory theatre but later became a night club and bingo house. It is now a three-screen cinema.
The frontage is utilitarian. Screen One was originally the stalls. The safety curtain and the flys remain. The original wooden floor of the stage is still in place but the stage now has a false ceiling. The proscenium arch is rectangular. Some of the original ceiling mouldings can be seen.
