Imperial Cinema
Before cinema conversion, a rectangular, flat-floored room with pilastered walls and ceiling divided by corniced beams. Single, plain, slightly concave-fronted balcony at end. Proscenium concert stage.
Built for Messrs Munts as a concert hall, alongside their pianoforte showrooms and factory. Licensed for a short time to Dan Leno and Herbert Campbell who used it as a music hall before building the nearby Grand Theatre of Varieties (q.v.). Later converted to a cinema.
