Princess Theatre
First opened in 1961 as part of the redevelopment of the Princess Gardens area on Torquay seafront, the Princess Theatre is a civic theatre in a typical 1960s modern design. The auditorium is raked with a single balcony. There is a wide stage with rearstage crossover but backstage facilities are cramped and extra portable buildings are employed for large touring shows. The theatre is now leased by The Ambassador Theatre Group.
