Fine brick exterior with corner tower. Spacious entrance foyer with staircase to upper foyer, balcony and ancillary rooms. Auditorium is entered at the side. The square proscenium has large, winged decorative grilles at either side, worked in intricate patterns suggesting sunbursts, flowers, leaves and fans. Striking floral centrepiece over balcony, and three curved bands, each set with a large gold shell at centre, progress to the proscenium. Auditorium intact, with stage and dressing rooms. Unusual and charming interior. The building was listed in 2000 and closed in July 2015.
