A former Carnegie library of 1904 with characteristically lively, two storey baroque front in ashlar stone. Centre feature has two Doric columns in antis supporting a triumphant central pediment extending up to main cornice, with a carved, arched tympanum. Doric porches on either side. Other elevations brick with stone dressings.
