Civic Hall

3203

Whitehaven Civic Hall is a plain oblong building of two storeys. The stone façade has double entrances, with plain windows over. The adjoining side annex is slightly lower and is set back. The Solway Hall is flat-floored and multi-pupose with a proscenium concert stage and limited flying facilities. The Enner meeting room, seating 30 is complementary, doubling as a studio, rehearsal room etc. and the Centre is also geared to conferencing. The Civic Hall closed in October 2013 as part of Copeland council budget cuts. New tenants are being sought for the building which is currently being used as office and event space.
