Tobacco Factory
Former WD and HO Wills tobacco factory in Victorian style. Red brick, three storeys high with attic; double windows on all sides between brick bands, rounded corners. Main entrance with ornamental pediment. The factory floor was converted to a theatre in 1998 within a now multi-use building which also houses a performing arts centre and restaurant with loft-style apartments above. The theatre is a studio-style space, with a low ceiling and fixed grid with structural pillars which intrude into the acting area. New seating in 2013 improved audience capacity and sightlines in the theatre auditorium.
