Cinema Palace

769

Built adjacent to the Central Hall Rink and opened 4 December 1909. Music hall style with a balcony. It quickly proved popular as a cinema, and although not converted for sound, only closed in 1931 because plans were passed to build the Regal on site. Externally a whimsically turretted Victorian style building in red brick and stone.
